About the organizers

The Fourth International Horticulture Research Conference will be hosted by NIAB EMR and Horticulture Research.


NIAB EMR is a major organisation in the UK for research on horticultural crops and plants and their interactions with the environment. Their research on perennial fruit crops is known internationally and they are a significant source of pride regionally. 

NIAB EMR's mission is to conduct high-quality strategic and applied research in horticultural and environmental sciences, and to deliver knowledge, products and services that benefit public and private customers.

NIAB EMR's vision is to be recognised as the pre-eminent research institute in the UK, with a significant international reputation for strategic and applied research, development and innovation in horticulture, with particular emphasis on perennial and clonally propagated crops.  

NIAB EMR is part of the NIAB group.


Horticulture Research is the scientific journal (www.nature.com/hortres), jointly published by Nanjing Agricultural University (www.njau.edu.cn) and Springer Nature (www.nature.com). Horticulture Research is an online-only, open access international journal devoted to publish original research results and reviews on, but not limited to, genetics, genomics and breeding, biotechnology, biochemistry, physiology, cellular and molecular biology, evolution, and environmental biology of horticultural plants. The journal also publishes News and Views on current events and hot topics in global horticultural fields. The journal aims to become a highly respected and trusted resource of cutting-edge information in the field of horticulture. The journal will also provide a much-needed platform to promote worldwide academic exchange in basic horticultural area.
